Hello everyone!
We are very happy to write to you and tell you a little more about our actions to take care of the Planet. This time we will tell you about our volunteer work at the Indonesian World Wildlife Fund!
Indonesia is very rich in terms of terrestrial and marine biodiversity, yet so many Indonesians live in poverty, their cities are some of the most polluted in the world, year after year their forest go up in flames, and in the monsoon seasons so many people must suffer the woes of floods and landslides, often fatal.
WWF-Indonesia’s ultimate goal is to stop and eventually reverse environmental degradation and to build a future where people live in harmony with nature.
Their mission is to conserve biodiversity and reducing human impact through:
Promoting strong conservation ethics, awareness and actions in Indonesian society.
Facilitating multi-stakeholders efforts to preserve biodiversity & ecological processes on ecoregional scale.
Advocating for policies, law and law enforcement that support conservation.
Promoting conservation for the well-being of people, through sustainable use of natural resources.
Because of this, we have decided to go to Indonesia to learn about and be part of each of its environmental protection programs.
But don´t worry, since you can also be part of the volunteering with us, since we will be writing some experiences and anecdotes, we will also upload photos. And we continue to motivate you to live as an ecologist, loving nature and respecting the balance between it and us. Remember each of our actions counts, no matter how big or small they are.

Hello, how did you wake up today?I hope it's better than me :'( hahaha.
With the news that our plane has just arrived at the Indonesian international airport in Soekarno-Hatta, on the island of Java, after a 19-hour flight! :-\. We left México yesterday at 3:00 am and arrived today at 10:00 am.
The climate in Indonesia is really different from Mexico City, as it has a humid climate, as it rains constantly although the sun continues to rise.
We will stay in a hotel near the airport, we will try to rest, and tomorrow some representatives of the foundation will come to take us to our first destination.

Within the Climate and Energy Programme, I traveled to the province of East Nusa Tenggara, it had a pleasant climate but sometimes it used to rain,however it was where I learned a lot about new forms of energy that do not affect the environment, nor do they contribute to climate change, I participated in community activities, such as talks on climate change, I was In places where I learned to install solar panels, I played with children from the province to teach them to separate the garbage, I visited a river that had a hydroelectric dam and they also taught me to build ecological and resistant houses, it was very interesting, I learned a lot.
Soon I will go to a garden, where they will teach me how to be a sustainable farmer, I will play with the children again and I will also teach them to grow food without contributing to climate change and using renewable energy, I hope they continue to learn to help the planet.

When I travel to Kalimantan, I stay on the island of Borneo, the weather is very hot, humid and rainy all year round, here is a marine program, its purpose is to create a network of marine protected areas, this is because millions Poor coastal dwellers depend on fishing to meet their needs and today they are increasingly managing to fish less because only 6% of coral reefs are in good condition. Actively participate in the control of litter at the bottom of the sea, I would like to be able to help again and not only here in Kalimantan, but in other places as well.

Throughout our journey we reached Danau Biru in the Wasur-Papua National Park where our goal was to Freshwater Program Since since the 1990s, WWF Indonesia has been working on freshwater issues and its biodiversity in some priority freshwater habitats in Indonesia. The park has been assisted through a sustainable watershed management approach. In the long stream flow areas of Kreung Peusangan and Krueng Sabee-Aceh; Kapuas Hulu-West Kalimantan; and Noelmina-West Timor, WWF Indonesia has engaged with ri
ver management authorities to develop integrated sustainable river basin management. We stayed inside a small hotel which was located near the National Park so we could be attentive to any complications, only that the weather was not at all good since the rain did not allow us to spend too much time outside. We have voluntarily helped to bring supplies which helped us to be more comfortable and within the following days we will go to pick up more volunteers who want to help with this great cause.

A Few days ago, I decided to travel to a beautiful place, better known as Paradise Forests in Indonesia, so in that place I discovered Indonesia's Forest are the third largest tropical forests in the world. Tropical forests are one of the greatest biodiversity hotspots on Earth, but my main task was to know the forest species, and I did it, so here is the information I found.
There are at least 19 different forest types in Indonesia, including coastal forests on beaches and dunes; tidal forests such as mangroves, nipah, and palm; heath forests associated with poor sandy soils; and peat, swamp, wetland, evergreen, bamboo, savanna and montane forests.
